A Birthday King
Ernie turned 40 today, & to celebrate his day we got up early & launched our yaks in the surf to see what we could find. I fished around my honey hole for some flounder( which are still there) while Ernie headed out with some hardtails in tow. He caught a decent King and while it was splashing around his other line went off. Put the King in the yak and fought what turned out to be a nice blacktip - to big to do anything with. 2 guys from sunjammers were out there and caught a blacktip as well. Tried to beach it but I never saw it on shore, so not sure what happened. Fun morning and eating steak at Longhorns by 12:30 =)

Custom Nyahbinghi Drum
Kayak Fishing
The weather has been gorgeous and has been great for kayaking. I've been going almost everyday this past 2 weeks & am having a blast. I have yet to catch a King this year from my yak but I just keep getting distracted with all the other fishing. The biggest distraction has been flounder. I have caught them all bouncing grubs and a lot of them small but I've managed several keepers every day I've gone. There have been schools of bonita, lots of spadefish, bluefish, sharks, grouper, redfish, hardtails & cigar minnows, a few spanish, peanut dolphin & a Cuda . I LOVE this time of year. Here are a few pics from my adventures the past few days.school of bonita
